So I have installed Proxmox on a new computer (new stable release, 7.2), and I got it running with one Windows VM yesterday. When I shutdown the machine and put it in a new place, I am now getting the Initial ramdisk error and it won't load.

I have tried to install the newest version of the pve kernel to see if that fixes the issue, but the command wget is not available to me. When I tried to download it, the command sudo and install are both not available.

Am I just screwed here? Any help is greatly appreciated. It has been about 20 years since I have used linux, so I might ask a lot of follow up questions about this.

It is a new machine. Specs are:
ASUS B550M- A Motherboard
AMD Ryzen 9 5950X CPU
64 GB DDR4 3200MHz Ram
Samsung 980 Pro 2TB NVMe SSD
(Intel Network card is on the way)

Both commands are not part of Proxmox but could be installed using apt. And you would also use apt to upgrade the kernel and not downloading something with wget.

You shouldshow us the exact error message as well as the logs in the syslog. If your PVE won't boot anymore you could boot from a PVE ISO and enter rescue mode to see what going on there.
