Installing Proxmox on a hpe 380 gen9 server. I will put proxmox on the back 2 ssd’s(1tb) as a zfs mirror. I will then have 12 bays to use for data. I will have 7 3tb drives initially. I will put the hw raid into Lba mode. Based on what im seeing, raidz2 is what i will use. This will give me 15tb of storage. I will create this pool with proxmox. At this point I’ll want that 15tb available to any vm’s i run. What is the best way to handle this? This would be for data only as my vm’s would be installed on the ssd’s. Install a lxc to manage the shares? Which? Can proxmox manage this to my vm’s without the need of a lxc?
