New Icy Box RAID1

Hi, I have omv installed in proxmox in a VM. I have now bought a RAID Icy Box with two 2tb drives configured for RAID1. What would be the best way to assign the box exclusively to the VM of OMV?

SATA or USB?

Either PCI passthrough a dedicated sata/usb controller or your use disk passthrough of individual disks (where you are still working with virtual disks). USB passthrough isn't great for bandwidth/latency demanding devices.

it is USB 3.0.

the steps would be these?
1- fdisk to format the disk
2- mount the disk on the node
3- create directory type?
