Hey All,

Have previously installed ProxMox VE on an old desktop and its working perfectly on my network. (Just information for context and so you know it can work in my environment).

Installing a second instance (stand alone not clustered for now) on an old laptop.

Install goes fine, once rebooted I can access the internet and ping machines on my local network from the new proxmox server (using its keyboard and screen). I cant ping this server from any other PC on the network however.

I can see it registering with my router (192.168.1.1) on the IP i specified.

The MAC address is different from what i see when i "IP A" on the proxmox server, I'm not sure if this is part of the problem, i'm fairly uninformed RE ProxMox, here is the "IP A" and interfaces file. For information I disabled the integrated wifi on this laptop before starting.

Many Thanks

Thanks Gabriel

1.22 isnt in use, its outside of the router DHCP scope and it isnt assigned to anything else, plus ping FROM the new proxmox wouldnt work if the IP was otherwise assigned right?

So I can ping both the internet and other machines FROM the proxmox local console, but nothing can ping or connect to it
