Is there an option to set the units used for network traffic in the summary?
I cant seem to see it anywhere.......Am i missing something?
Mention of the scale would be a plus.

No, get more NIC Interfaces, with a PCIe 10 GBit/s Network Card and then you can separate, management, backup and cluster traffic.

How will that show me the whether we are looking at MBytes per second or Mbits per second on the image?
So tell us more about your hardware.
use ethtool <device> to get more answers about the actual status.

Question: what is the maximum raw data transliterate over a 1 GBit/s Network connection in MByte/s?

Apologies for the confusion......
My point is far simpler.
Am I able to set what scale is being used to show the data on the graph?
Why is there no scale label on the vertical axis of the graph?

Not sure if you know the following...:

Move the mouse pointer over the graph. A hint / tooltip will be shown to tell you the exact value of a near-by point.

You can also zoom into the left bottom to see the small peak.
