Hi all,
My 7.3 system crashed while trying to update to 8.0. I ended up Proxmox 8 overwriting my 7.3 system. My VM backups were on an external USB drive and I'm trying to restore them to the new system, and they apparently restore fine, but they're grayed out and when I try to start them, they give me an error that says Erro: storage 'Storege' does not exist. They are Windows VMs. I did not have any problem restoring my webserver (Ubuntu) and another Ubuntu desktop VM. Can anybody help me make the restore work? I'm a newbie.

Thanks in advance!

You have to reconnect your storage called “Storage” or change everything related to it in the config.

Thank you guys, I think I have renamed my external hard drive to "backup". Can you tell me how to change the name back to "Storage"? I's sorry I'm a total noob.

It may be that your VMs had an ISO file mounted when they were backuped. if yes, unmount the iso and then you can start them.
