Need help installing Mellanox ConnectX-4 Lx 25GbE nic on PVE 7.2-11

Hi,

This is my first time installing Mellanox ConnectX-4 Lx 25GbE Model No. CX4121A NIC on ProxMox VE 7.2-11 any help appreciated.

BTW...
In pve cli I see:
lspci |grep -i mellanox
0c:00.0 Memory controller: Mellanox Technologies MT27710 Family [ConnectX-4 Lx Flash Recovery]

connectx-4 works out of the box on proxmox 7.X.

your lspci show something strange on the name "[ConnectX-4 Lx Flash Recovery]"

flash recovery ?

Are you sure to have failed a firmware update on the mellanox card ?

Thanks for letting me know, I'm glad it works out of the box. When I installed the nic I did not do any firmware update. Not sure how to fix, I'll see if I can find some help or request for a replacement since I just bought it brand new. I'm glad I bought two of these cards so I tried the second nic and it worked!

I think you can return it with warranty, maybe it has been badly flashed in factory.

Good thing I tested these nic's soon after it was delivered. I see the online store (fs.com) where I purchased it from has a return policy of 30 days. So I don’t have to go through manufacturer warranty. Thanks again for your help.
