Hello everyone, I have an old server.HP DL380G6 , When I installed pve at the beginning, when I selected GUI, the monitor prompted that the display was out of range. Then according to the solution to the same problem we searched here, when installing, I selected "E" and then changed to“nomodeset” . During the installation, I could see the interface, but within 1 minute, the screen was frozen. The mouse and keyboard did not respond. Do you have any other solutions?

Hi,

have you tried the terminal-based installer with the Proxmox VE (Terminal UI) option? (With nomodeset too)
That might help.

Otherwise, you can also try an Automated Installation, as that doesn't require any screen. That should work in any case.
Or you can try installing Debian and then Install Proxmox VE on Debian 12 Bookworm, but the automated installation might be simpler in this case.

Thanks for your reply. I have tried everything you said. Even when I used HP's iOL2, the monitor displayed out of range and the remote interface kept jumping. The interface did not display at all. I tried TUI and had the same problem. In addition, I tried your suggestion to install Debian first and then PVE, but I could not find the hard disk in Debian. It was frustrating.
