Hello @all,

the problem is a suddenly freezing w2k3 R2 SP2 system (with hotfixes and updates). There are no messages @all, what was happenning, why the system was frozen. Only, if a user wants to login, no reaction @all. The machine dies without any noise.

On the other hand, this w2k3-system was stable online for 77d (then dies like mentioned above). Also another machine, a linux 2.4.26-1-SMP is doing his job perfect without any problem, the virtualiazed XP/SP3 too. No probs with these machines. No probs getting faxes through USB-Fritz on linux 2.4, this machine sees ISDN calls too etc.

Only the w2k3 R2 SP2 (with hotfixes and updates) freezes after 3/4/5 days. There is nothing, nothing like a BSOD, nothing in eventlog, only an advice at the last time, that the time is not right and for 86400s/1d no time server was found. In eventlog exists after hard-rebooting a time gap of x hours.

Until now, i changed from rh-virtio to ide, the same. Right now, i was installing intel win32-Driver v. 16.7.

It is *not* a crash, like BSOD. I can get a console, but no reaction in it; the login.scr is frozen, *no* BSOD. A ping on machine gets no answer, no login through RDP.

Do any one has an idea, how could i solve this minor :-) :-( problem? Under this circumstances, although other machines has no problems, the only ticket a have, is deleting/disintegrating proxmox and to install/migrate somehow this w2k3 direct on the metal (HP ML 350 G5) with unneeded 9G memory (w2k3 std.). But i do not want to go this way.

Thanks in advance for any help/idea.

Bye
Lindemann

PS: w2k3 was installed from the beginning on/under proxmox env.
