Hi, i have a proxmox server Dell Poweredge with 5 TB storage configured in Raid 5 (i get 3.8 TB). Because the proxmox doesnt support partitions >2 Tb i had to make two partitions. Now i have two 1.8 Tb disks. and proxmox recognises them good. i have another NFS storage with 1.8 TB which i want to use it as backup.. The idea of proxmox if using mostly for one vm, i plan to install CPANEL. This vm is Centos and i have added 3 raw disk. one 32 Gb and two 1.7 tb

Now, the question. I have managed to backup the vm, but when i go to backup it tells me that this vm has only 32 gb disk. Will proxmox automatically backup the entire vm when it will start to fill the hdd for example 1 tb..?

And, is it a good idea to use proxmox for cpanel?

the backup (vzdump/gui) includes all disks by default. and its also a good idea to do regularly restore tests.

I have tested and it restores all the hdd's. But i can only restore into a different vm. how to restore to the same vm?

if you want to restore to the same VMID you need to remove the original, but I do not recommend this. whats wrong with a new VMID?

there's nothing wrong, i thought in case of full recovery...anyway thanx for the support
