Hello girls and guys,

I have 2 fixes IPs and I am using them for 2 seperate MX-Records one with good reputation and one with less good reputation.
For now I have an eFA3 on the first MX and PMG on the second. PMG has been more effective in the last 2 months and I´m thinking
about switching the old eFA3 to PMG. Should I build a PMG cluster or just 2 independent PMG´s ? I also have a main Mailserver in the
backend and multiple external Mailservers which are delivered by (eFA) PMG.

Thanks for you thoughts.

hi,

Should I build a PMG cluster or just 2 independent PMG´s ?

having a PMG cluster has the following benefits:

The Proxmox Mail Gateway HA Cluster consists of a master and several slave nodes (minimum one node). Configuration is done on the master. Configuration and data is synchronized to all cluster nodes over a VPN tunnel. This provides the following advantages:
  • centralized configuration management
  • fully redundant data storage
  • high availability
  • high performance
