Hello,

I just installed a new PVE-8 server. I then restored a win-10 VM (that was previously running on a pve v7). This VM is set up with SPICE 3 monitors (qxl3,32) and OVMF (UEFI) BIOS.

The connection to the VM is made from a Windows-11 client, with remote-viewer 11 (up to date).
All guest drivers are installed inside the VM (latest version 0.1.240)

The problem I'm facing now is that dynamic resolution of the guest is not working anymore and only the first monitor is detected by the Windows-10 guest.

This VM worked well with the previous installation : pve 7, remote-viewer 10 on the Windows-11 client system.

Any idea of what I'm missing or doing wrong ?

Thank a lot,

Denis

Some more informations.

I restored that VM on another v7 server and everything works OK. All monitors are displayed and dynamic resolution works.

The guest OS (w10) was installed in UEFI mode. For any reason, the EFI disk is not backuped and/or restored. Proxmox issues a warning at VM startup, but everything works fine.

But, if I add an EFI disk (to avoid this warning), I fall again in this display problem.

Deleting the EFI disk 'solves' the problem again.
