Hi,

Not sure if this is the right section or not..

i have a little situation.

I have 2 single node clusters.. as i accidently made the 2nd server its own cluster and didn't realise but i was in a hurry and then later realised when i went to enable HA that there both in different clusters... yes i've fuck*d it.

I have lots of vms on both servers which can't go offline for longer then 5-10 minutes because they are in use for my company.

I need to delete the cluster on one of the nodes to then re-join it onto the same cluster. Can i do this via the command line with vms running on the server and not destroy the install and vms?

If i backup the vms in full and delete them, i think the backups stay if they are stored locally (correct me if im wrong) can i simply remove the cluster, re-join it on the same one and restore the backups?

Does this make sense?

Thanks in advance.

Hello :)

Your idea seems to be not bad. Maybe not the best solutoin with your situation, but seem's good. If you can, schedule that after backup time, when all your workteammates are out the box.
But, copy your dumped files on another disk for security reasons (missclic when attempting to destruc your VM)
