Moving from UNRAID

Hi

I have been using UNRAID for years and now want to move to Proxmox for better virtual machine support. To make the transition as smooth as possible, there are a few features in UNRAID that I'm quite dependent on and want to make sure Proxmox has the same feature set so I'm not left ruing my decision :-)
I would appreciate some feedback/options on my questions below please.

1.) UNRAID has docker capability and a community apps plugin enabling easy search for plugins and docker containers. How does Proxmox handle docker containers and does it have a plugin architecture? Being able to search for docker apps/solutions directly from UNRAID GUI is a big tick for me.

2.) The UNRAID GUI can display system temperatures, fan speed such as CPU and Motherboard temp , Fan array RPM - can this be done using Proxmox and if not, what is the best way to build a dashboard or just show the system temps and fan speeds (maybe using a docker app)? This is an essential component for me.

3.) Is it possbile to passthrough a GPU to a docker in Proxmox for Plex h/w decoding?

4.) How does Proxmox handle Intel iGPU (12x or 13x) generation cpu. I intend to passthough the iGPU to a VM or docker for quick sync capabilities.

5.) Setting up shares in UNRAID is a doddle. It is just as easy in Proxmox and if accessing a share from inside a Windows VM can you use direct share access instead of relying on the Guest VM NIC which can limit throughput. All may shares will be on nvme/ssd drives.

6.) My UNRAID shares are stored on a mix of XFS and NTFS volumes. Can Proxmox read those volumes and enable me to convert to ZFS if needed?

I think that's it for now. I appreciate your responses.

Proxmox VE is a IaaS architecture, therefore no Docker container support (which would be PaaS). You have to do everything yourself (preferably in a KVM/QEMU VM)

Not included in PVE.

Possible to passthrough to KVM/QEMU VM and LX(C) containers. Search the forum for guidance.

If possible, same as 3.)

The GUI does not offer any filesystem-passthrough in KVM/QEMU VMs, you can however use bind-mounts in LX(C) containers.

"read", yes. It's Linux so you can do everything you want on the CLI, but no GUI support. Proxmox VE is not a file manager.

OK, so sounds like the best option is to spin up an Ub or Deb VM and run docker in there?
What about Sys temps etc. My mobo has IPMI, what is the best way to monitor the temps and fan speeds?

Depends on what you mean by monitor. Any ordinary monitoring tool like CheckMK, Icinga, Zabbix etc. works. If you want "nice graphs", have a look at influxdb and grafana.
