[SOLVED] moving backups to another namespace

Hi there,

since a couple of weeks we're testing PBS to be our future backup solution. So far, so great!
For some minor topics I would like to look for answers here - here we go:

Currently we focus on backup the VMs running inside our 3-node-PVE/Ceph cluster. From the beginning we threw everything into the root namespace of our datastore - before we knew of the existence of namespaces.
Now we want to sort things up and created some namespaces. Is it possible to move backups already created from root to another namespace?

Moving individual groups/backups works the same way, just mv them around (but make sure they are in the right folder)

Hello.
I know this is an older post, but is there a way to backup new servers, specifically into a new namespace or do we have to use the 'normal' process, then 'mv' them to the other namespace? I was thinking of utilizing the namespace feature as a way to manage prune/gc jobs as well as 'archive' some really old stuff.

You could use a sync jobs for this
