Hi all,

I have a server with Proxmox 4.3 and about 15 Virtual Machines and I need to update this server, adding new hard drives.

At this moment, I have two 1TB disks so partitioned:
60GB - pve-root
1.2TB - pve-data
450GB - ext partition to extend pve-root space

My goal is to add two 2TB disks in RAID1 (Raid is managed by a Raid Controller) and move all VMs to this new disk.
Is it possible to create a "new" pve-data partition and move all Virtual Disks to it?
So I can remove the old pve-data and use free space to extend pve-root

Thanks,
Giuseppe

sure. just create the storage (this depends on the actual type - plain directory, LVM, LVM-Thin, ...) and add it on the GUI as new storage. then you can use "move disk" to move VM disks to the new storage. for containers, you need to use backup/restore to switch storage.
