Move raw disk image from local(lvm) storage to local-zfs

Hello everyone,

I have a proxmox 5.0 installation that is running a 6 volume raid 10 zfs storage.

My old server was a proxmox 4.1 installation that had a 6 volume raid created on a raid card so Proxmox just saw it as a single lvm storage.

I have migrated the raw disk from proxmox 4.1 into the local-lvm storage but I cannot find anyway to import it into the zfs storage or create a vm from the raw disk while in the lvm storage.

Can anyone help me?

If you go to proxmox webgui>highlight datacenter>click storage, does the "content" column show "Disk image,Container"? If not, you have to click "edit" and add both Disk image,Container and click OK.

Before doing anything, make sure you have backup of the raw disk, and backup of the VM's data files just in case.

Be VERY careful about creating a new VM with the same VM ID as your raw disk. You want to use a different ID than either of the raw files, and then edit the vm's config file to correct location of the raw file.

Well so I have no idea what happened but when I added container on to the lvm storage listing both the raw disks were deleted it looks like.

What is the output of #lvs?

If you go to datacenter>storage, under ID "local", what is under the "Content" column? It should show Disk image, ISO image, Container, Container template like this picture. If it only says "ISO image" then it will only show your ISO files.
