Move porxmox configuration to a new h/w

I will need to move my porxmox configuration to a new h/w (same h/w NUC I7-10710U ).

(It's due to h/w error see https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/mce-hardware-error-cpu-0-machine-check-0-bank-6.75452/)

I have all VMs/CTs backed up as well as /etc/pve

I wonder what is the clean process to do so in order to preserve all user settings, e.g. Acme cert, storage definitions etc. ?

I'd try to just move over the installation disk/drive to the new hardware.
AFAIK there is no backup/restore process for a PVE host itself. IMHO: lack of functionality. I was using image backup/restore up until now.

In this case i would take the disk and build it into the new nuc.

funny how i was just having the same issue. my plan is to clonezilla the drive and just put into the the new hardware ...in case something goes wrong i can still stick the copy into the old box and things will work out. once its running you can simply move on.

Clonezilla should work as well. I was using identical disks (8GB SSD) and DD for many years now as a backup/restore method
