I try to move a disk (165GB) from an iSCSI storage to a local one, with 200GB free space, to be able to snapshot this VM.

I get this error :

is your VM running? if yes, try it when your VM is stopped.

Ok, did some more tests.

This VM has 2 disks :
ide0: local:909/vm-909-disk-3.qcow2,cache=unsafe,size=42G
ide1: local:909/vm-909-disk-2.raw,format=raw,cache=unsafe,size=165G

- ide0 (system disk. A WSUS server) can move successfully, live. Probably VM stopped, did not try that.
- ide1 doesn't move on a running VM, see above post : fails at 100% (grrr!).
- ide1 moves correctly when the VM is stopped.

Storage migration is a really cool feature, but needs to be rock solid.
