Hi Folks
i am new to proxmox but familiar with Linux.
i am running proxmoxVe with 2 nodes.
i have 2 vm machines that were built when i first started testing Proxmox. these 2 vm's are no longer required.
when i attempt to remove them, it takes hours and i finally give up and stop the process.

when i attempt to move a vm from host 1 to host 2, it seems to be working, however, after 7 hours, only 296gb of 600gb had been copied.
any idea why so slow.
both nodes have only 1 net card each. so i know this is a major bottleneck, however i can download gigs of data from the internet faster than it take to move 600gb of data across a local network.

has anyone else had this issue and has had it resolved.
would love to hear from you

thanks

nova Jarvis.

are the VM disks located on local storage?
if they're on shared storage it might take longer than you expect.

what is your storage setup like on both nodes?

you can post the VM configurations and storage information:
* qm config VMID
* cat /etc/pve/storage.cfg
* lsblk -f
