Mouse stopped working in Windows

I have a Windows 10 VM where the mouse just stopped working in it one day. I normally access using the web interface console, but when I try "noVNC" a similar thing happens. Nothing in the config has changed for months. "Use tablet for pointer" mode is enabled, and always has been. I've checked to make sure it's not in "View Only" mode somehow, and it's not. The keyboard responds fine, and the VM is running OK.

So then I started up a different Windows 10 VM which was not running. It was working fine with the mouse for a few minutes, but after a few minutes it started to have the same problem where the mouse is no longer responding. On this one I then tried disabling "Use tablet for pointer" and the mouse started working again, but was way off from where my actual mouse cursor was. I reenabled "Use tablet for pointer" and it doesn't seem like anything changed, but I'm not sure it will change until a reboot or not.

So, does anyone have an idea of what could be going on or where to look to figure out what is happening? Thanks.

Why are you using the console like this anyways? RDP is the far better approach

Sure, if you are in the VM for a while. Console works fine if you just need to go in for a few minutes, which is my case.

Even for a few seconds - I'd suggest to use rdp. Its native, more performant and simply better.
The console has one purpose in my eyes: troubleshoot network.
OK. A second one: install. ;)
