Mouse problem in vm

Hi, everybody!
I have installed Proxmox VE 8.0 on my HP laptop and am running Linux Mint 21.2 vm.
I am using the vm in gpu passthrough mode and have given it a keyboard, touchpad.
I use the laptop touchpad as a mouse.
My problem is that the mouse is behaving strangely.
As long as I drag the mouse, everything is fine, but if I lift my finger and then touch the touchpad again, the mouse cursor jumps to a completely different remote position than where it was last time.

Can I set the "Use tablet for pointer" option in the vm conf file to "tablet: 0"?
If I use the "tablet: 0" setting, the mouse does not work, only the mouse cursor is displayed.

I use this setting for the vm (/etc/pve/qemu-server/100.conf):

When do you intend to resolve the problem given that it has been occurring for years, and this walkaround, although useful thanks, is not definitive?
