Hello,

I would like to ask if there is any tutorial or links explains how to mount RDB on any existing ceph system which is not managed or created with proxmox,

say, I already have a working ceph system. Now, i installed a new, proxmox node. I would like to mount the ceph system to this proxmox node. The ceph system have no direct relationship to the proxmox node.

So as to use the proxmox node to create VM, on the ceph system.

Thanks

Daniel

The storage ID is the "name" you assign to a storage yourself when adding a new one to a PVE system (for example, through the Datacenter -> Storages -> Add GUI).

So if you add your external RBD with all its monitors under the name/id "foo" you'd save the keyring under /etc/pve/priv/ceph/foo.keyring
