Mounting external CephFS in PVE6.3

Hi,

I have a external (same rack) Ceph cluster used by Openstack and I want to share its resources with Proxmox.

I've followed the instructions from here: https://x.x.x.x:8006/pve-docs/chapter-pvesm.html#storage_cephfs

Then from Datacenter->Storage-> Add CephFS I see that there are options only to store backup and templates on it.

Is there a way to use external Ceph for VM's ? (i.e. as attached disks) ?

Yes, by using RBD (rados block device) and not Ceph FS. https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/pve-admin-guide.html#ceph_rados_block_devices
