Hello,

I have a virtual trial in vmware vmdk format. It is a linux server. Can I just mount the vmdk by creating a KVM virtual machine adding the vmdk to my /var/lib/vz/images/VMID direcory and setting the disk in the webconsole to the vmdk image?

Thanks,

In theory, yes. But there are several versions of the vmdk format, and not all are supported. To be safe, I would convert it to raw first (using vmware tools, or try qemu-img).

Thanks for the Tips.

How can you tell which format the vmdk is in and where can I find out what formats are supported?
