mount point in a running system

Hello forum
You can add a new mountpoint while the system is running. why can't you remove a mountpoint from a running system? As a test, I even made the mount point readonly so that no files could be open. A system restart is not wanted because i don't want any downtime.
 
I used the webinterface on > ressources > add > Mount Point > unhook
After i did that there is this orange text:

After a restart it looks like this and i can remove the mountpoint:

But i have downtime, beacause i restartet the System.
