Hello,

I 'am using proxmox backup server , I've created a mounted DATASTORE ( /mnt/datastore) to backup all my vm' on an external Save Server.
It works very well.

No I want to backup this storage on a LTO7 drive. I've try to install physically my LTO drive on the PMBackup server. But saving on the tape is verrrrrryyy long.

I'm wondering if i could attached directly my LTO drive to the external Save Server , but is it possible to "mount" these drive to the PMbackup server?

Thank you!

No. Even if it were possible, that would slow down things even more because the data would need to go through the network twice.
Isn't it possible to install proxmox backup directly on that external server?

Thanks for the reply .
1/ AS you said , i re install a PMB server on the external save serve ( actually a windows server)
2/ I put physically all my hdd disk's of the save server on the PMB server to increase my datastore volume storage as i need.
