Hi all, how are you monitoring/alerting key metrics like:
- hardware issues
- disk utilisation
- ZFS issues (integrity etc.)
- SMART errors
- network issues

Primarily for the proxmox hosts but also the VMs?

I've used Zabbix and Nagios years ago - are they still "the cool kidz on the streetz"?

the irony of me coming in this morning to set up monitoring on Proxmox and discovering that Proxmox has disappeared from the network at some point in the past few days....

I used to use Zabbix and Linux auto-discoveries scripts I had made long time ago. But I have to test direct integration pointed by @Taomyn !
FYI, I amended it to also include reporting snaphots so I don't keep them for too long and keep things tidy. Each time they update the latest version I have to compare the yaml - it's the only reason I don't mind that Zabbix doesn't automatically update them between upgrades or I would lose my "tweaks".

I am not sure to understand all. Do you know the program 'meld' integrating changes in files revisions ?
