I have an LSI 9207-8i installed.

modinfo mpt2sas
version 15.100.00.00

LSI/Broadcom Official
broadcom (dot) com/products/storage/host-bus-adapters/sas-9207-8i#tab-current-drivers2-abc


version 20.00.04.00-1.

Is there a way to update Proxmox 5.1 to latest drivers? I'm relatively new to the Proxmox scene, go easy on me. I tried building it, but I'm having no luck.
 
You can download latest drivers/firmware from LSI/Avago/Broadcom website. I have done it a few times on pure Debian, and it worked...
 
IIRC, in driver-pack there was deb-package which I installed with dpkg. Never on Proxmox, but a few times on Debian (and vib-package on ESXi too). I also had to install smis-provider and management tools (megacli, later storcli).

I do not remember any problems. Unfortunatelly I can not test it now as I removed raid-controller when I switched to Proxmox...

It does include some deb packages but they're made for earlier Debian and didn't work. When I try to compile on Proxmox it gives lots of errors and problems.

If anyone else can assist with building the mpt2sas.so I'd appreciate it.
