Hi all,

We're getting some servers in the coming weeks and of course they will have Proxmox installed as soon as they're powered on.

At the moment we are running a cluster of Proxmox 6.4 servers. Is it OK to install the latest version in the new servers and add them to the cluster?

The idea is to move some VM's to the new servers, to totally empty the other nodes one by one and then update them to the latest version as well.

Thank you,
J,

This should work but you could also consider using a PBS and do a Backup->Restore-Move to the new PVE-Servers.
This way you get a real fresh native 7.x-Cluster which later can take the nodes from the existing Cluster....

Thank you for your reply.

We use PBS already, so will test this when we get the new hardware.

Best regards,
J.
