I am not a Proxmox user but my need is to transfer a Windows Server VM from either Parallels or VMware Fusion to the Proxmox VE (my host machine is a Mac and I'm not in possession of machine with Proxmox).

If doing this would be easier from Parallels then I'll choose to host the server in that; or if easier in VMware Fusion, I'll use that. Can anyone point me to step-by-step instructions or give me advice on migrating from either of these two virtual environments? Lastly, if there is another host application on the Mac that it would be better to use instead of Parallels or VMware Fusion, I'd use that. Thank you.

Moayad, thanks, yes, I have read your Wiki about VM to VM migration. I don't see instructions for migrating guests from VMware Fusion or Parallels (both Mac-based), so I am hoping that someone with superior knowledge of virtualization technologies can point out how I'd adapt those instructions or use other tools to convert from VMware Fusion or Parallels or suggest another Mac-based virtualization platform that would be better to start from.
