I have a kvm-image creating with dd like *.img
How can I use this in Proxmox?
In your "Migration of servers to Proxmox VE"-wiki, you wrote:
Just create an new VM on Proxmox VE and add the existing disk image to this new VM, set the boot order and start.
But I don't see a way to add an exitig image, when I create a new VM.

Hi,

you can use it directly as RAW image (local or nfs storage)
create a VM, create it with a RAW disk image on a storage (even 1GB)
then note the disk file name and location (something like vmxxx-disk.1.raw)

then stop the vm. replace the 1gb raw file with your file.

boot the vm, it should work
then you can use live migration grom web gui to convert/move the image to other formats.
