Hello I have try to migrate my CT from my previous Proxmox server V4 to my new proxmox server V5

for do i I have make a backup from V4 version and restore on the V5

Restoration Finishing without issue but when I try to restart my CT on the V5 server I have this error

Job for pve-container@109.service failed because the control process exited with error code.
See "systemctl status pve-container@109.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.
TASK ERROR: command 'systemctl start pve-container@109' failed: exit code 1

It's possible to do this ? backup from V4 and restore to V5 ?
did I choose the right method ?
is there anything to do before the backup or after restore ?

I do not want to migrate my V4 server to the V5 it is a little old and I'm afraid it will not restart (I lose all my VM)

thank you in advance

Those the bridge vmbr5 exist on the new host?

Effectively not Yet. My new Proxmox server is hosting in ovh , and when I install it via template (Debian 9 and Proxmox 5)
I have an issue when I would like add a new vmbr (linux bridge) I have this error message : bridge 'vmbr1' - unable to find bridge port 'dummy0' (500)
I try again when this problem wil be fixed.

it's works now thanks for your halp Alwin

issue with debian and proxmox 5 is solved, by default in soyoustart template there is a dummy0 interface (not necessary with proxmox5 just remove it)
