I have run a proxmox VE (v1.8) for two years now on my own server at Hetzner and everything worked great. There are only two VMs left now that I need to maintain and it is not worth paying a full server for that. Has anyone migrated their VMs to a professional virtual hosting company, either by converting them to a different format, or to one that supports proxmox?
