Hi Everyone,
I have an old Fedora Core 2 server that I would like to move to my Proxmox VE server.
I've had a look at several different ways to achieve this, but they all seem to rely on first installing some software on the Fedora server - something that I'm quite reluctant to do... it's currently running quite smoothly, and I'm concerned that installing anything at all might cause any number of issues (amongst which... it has not had any patches installed for a long time).
The best idea that I've come up with is to create a virtual ext3 disk on my Proxmox VE server and then copy the entire Fedora server on to it using scp (something that I've found already has been installed on my Fedora server).
Is this workable?
Can someone point me to some instructions for doing this (have had a look but can't find anything)
Is there a better way?
Thanks!
James.
