Migrating from Qemu to OpenVZ

Hi there,

maybe that's a stupid question, but does anyone ever migrated VMs (their whole hdd content) from qemu to OpenVZ containers? Are there any recommendations?

a VM is no different to a physical server as far as linux is concerned(*). This means that you can proceed with the migration as if the source was a physical server: http://openvz.org/Physical_to_container

(*) some exceptions to this that neednt concern you for your plans tho.

thanks a lot for this link! Worked great, tested it with an Ubuntu 12.04 VM and with one CentOS 6.2 . Both amd64/x86_64 .
