Hello. I have a proxmox 5.4-12 server running in the cloud. I would like to migrate these machines to a local server within a cluster. But the Cluster version are 6.2-4 servers. I can schedule the machines to shut down without a problem. But I still don't know how best to migrate these VMS. Can someone help me please?

Setup Proxmox Backup server locally, backup cloud to it.

But Backup server work to backup 5.4-12 ? And the VMs works on 6x or need to do something with compatibility?
I cant find compatibility matrix between PBS and PVE, perhaps the easiest way is to try. Create a dummy VM in cloud, see if you can back it up and restore.

if it is just for migration purposes it is not necessary to implement a fully working Proxmox-Backup-Server and make it reachable/usable from both sides. A manual backup should suffice. Please read
