Hi guys,

are there any technical obstacles for not to do an offline migration of suspended VM?

I think this would be an awesome feature, which would allow me to keep ZFS snapshots with migraton.

strictly speaking no, but we have to config lock a suspended vm, to prevent any changes that might lead the vm to not be able to restore
this lock prevents the migration and for now we do not have an exception there for the suspend lock, but that might change in the future

I just want to take this opportunity to bring to attention this feature yet again.
It would be awesome, so I would not loose ZFS snapshots when migrating a VM without rebooting it. :)
