[SOLVED] "Method POST" not implemented when setting up webhook notification

Hi,

can you please provide the output of pveversion -v? (In codetags please!)
That would help further investigation.

similar issue here. I get the same error message when trying to setup a webhook through the web UI. trying to set it manually in notifications.cfg but the documentation is not clear on what the name for the type of notification should be hence it fails.

LE: the exact error is: Method 'POST /cluster/notifications/endpoints/webhook' not implemented (501).

Just for completeness' sake: no, that package did not fix this, the pve-manager package in version 8.2.9 did, as that actually shipped the newly required API endpoint routes. And that package got uploaded to no-subscription yesterday.

This basically was just blip where we added some UI components without an explicit guard to show them only once the API can support it. The same thing was rolled out for PBS, but there it has the guard, so is not yet visible, as the API changes still needs to be rolled out.

I've managed to add discord as a notification target but when running a test I just get a 404 error. I've followed the documentation. Anybody managed to get it to actually post a notification?

Error
Could not test target: https://discord.com/api/webhooks/: status code 404 (500)

This is a different topic so better suited for a new thread.

That means the POST went through, but there might be something missing in the URL or body that the discord API requires.

Seems you're missing the token afterwards, did you generate one and added is as secret to the notification target config?

Managed to sort it, had made a mistake with how I had entered the secret.

As mentioned above, libjs-extjs isn't relevant here, but rather pve-manager - and you need version >= 8.2.9 for that.
