mergeide.reg and Windows 2000 Server

Hello,

For the first time we are planning a Windows 2000 Server P2V migration. The question is that the mergeide.reg file all methods talk about seems to apply to Windows 2003 and XP only as stated on the proxmox page... My questions are:

a) Is this step also possible for 2000?.
b) Can it break something?.
c) Is there any other mergeide.reg that that from the proxmox page that workns on 2K?
