virtual machine with the top command ram 4 gb but I see 8 gb proxmox screen. why I see different ?

First, PVE 4 is very old, PVE 6 is state of the art.

Is your VM probably a 32-bit machine? What about "red" text on the pve screen? Have you changed the RAM and did not reboot? What about ballooning?
