Memory Usage Win10VM

Hi,

I`m running a Windows10 VM with 4 GB RAM in Proxmox VE on a virtio zfs Harddrive.

Most of the time, the Proxmox webinterface shows memory usage of this VM about 80 to 90 %.

When I check RAM (memory usage) inside the VM in Windows10 Task Manager, there's only about 30 to 40 %.

Is this a bug in Proxmox webinterface or why is there a big difference in showing ram usage ?

Are you using variable ram for the Windows VM? Memory ballooning in Windows causes higher memory usage than usual. Try to set fixed memory size and see the difference.

Hi,thank you, but I`m using fixed memory size 4gb. Any further sugggestions ?

Install the guest tools in the Windows VM.
