Memory cache trouble

Hello,
I'm having some kind of problem with the memory cache. I have some LXC in Proxmox and I've the problem that the memory cache doesn't liberate well. As far as I know in this kind of operative system It takes the free memory into cached memory in order to make operations quickier, but when something needs more memory It liberates the memory in order to be used for that thing. In my case seems that this doesn't happen. Furthermore I've another LXC in other virtual environment and this seems to work properly, but not here in Proxmox.
Maybe someone can explain/help me?
Thank you in advance.

Your understanding of "free RAM" in Linux is correct. Please backup you claims with some numbers what seems slow, and how you measure it.
