Memory ballooning not working - Windows Server 2022 VM

Hi All,

We are installed the new PVE but we facing the problem should be memory balloon not working. The host memory usage keep to high even all VM in low usage status.
I also checked that all vm installed the agent and all virtio driver. I have tried to reboot the PVE host but it seem still not working.
May i know some idea how to make the memory balloon working in new enviromnet and Windows server 2022 VM?

Ballooning only starts working when the host memory usage is above 80%: https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/pve-admin-guide.html#qm_memory
Maybe you know all this already but your description does not show any numbers.

That sounds good. Please show the VM configuration by putting the output of qm config 101 in CODE-tags.

Did you also try it via the Proxmox web GUI using the Monitor tab of the VM?

You need to check within Windows that the balloon service is actually running. (Usually with: run prompt & services.msc ).
