Mellanox ConnectX-2

I'm trying to set up a 10GB connection between my Proxmox server (Dell R610) and a UnRAID server (Dell R510)

I am trying to edit the "Network Device" section under the Mellanox card, and I am getting some errors that I'm sure I can't get around trying this the current way.

What I have, is both cards connected and showing up as being seen by both servers.

What would be the best way to keep these cards on their own network? Is it possible? I think the UnRAID server is correct, I just cant seem to edit the network device in Proxmox.

hello grizzle33,

your gateway adress is not a valid host adress. In your example it is the network adress. (first adress of 10.31.41.0/24 is 10.31.41.0...)

Your hosts (proxmox and UnRAID) are in the same network. So you don't need a gateway for communication.

Delete the gateway adresses on both hosts and you should be good to go.
