I had installed Avahi on Proxmox, VMs, containers, and Linux laptops and was able to access them via .local name. I have three Proxmox servers in a Ceph cluster and one Proxmox on a sperarate NUC connected to a different switch. Then it stopped working. Troubleshooting, I have verified:
All firewalls are off.
Avahi is working on the Proxmox servers, VMs, containers, and physical laptops.
I can ping from/to between Proxmox servers, VMs and containers with .local names - including the independent one.
I can ping from Proxmox servers, VMs, and containers to my laptops' .local addresses.
But I can not ping Proxmox servers, VMs, and containers from physical laptops.
Does any one have any ideas on what's going on here?
Thanks,
Ken
