maxView Storage Manager v1.04.20859 for 64-bit Linux for 6xxx RAID Card

Hello

Has anyone had success with storman.

I install the newest release (dec 18 2013) http://www.adaptec.com/en-us/speed/raid/storage_manager/msm_linux_x64_v1_04_20859_tgz.htm

Installation was fine but when I try to access it with my browser it does not work. Page does not load up.

I am wondering if I am missing something.

We are using version 18856 (asm_linux_x64_v7_31_18856.tgz), later versions did not work with the 6805E cards we use.

Hello

Thanks for the post. I tried that and it failed to install. I try another post I found and that failed too.

So I went back to the using the lastest software (Dec 18 2013).

It installs fine, but can not access the webpage.

But the error I am getting SSL error. So it looks like its installing just the SSL is giving me an issue.

Unable to make a secure connection to the server. This may be a problem with the server, or it may be requiring a client authentication certificate that you don't have.
Error code: ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR

I'm getting same error message connecting from Google Chrome for maxview v1.08.21375 for and Adaptec 6405 card.
Did anyone find a solution for this?

My solution was I had to first amend my Proxmox package repository file as the following command was erroring
apt-get update && apt-get install unzip libpam-cracklib
https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Adaptec_maxView_Storage_Manager
http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Package_repositories

then i found the following thread and followed Rawman's solution

Just wanted to let you know I got it installed. I re-did my home server. Started from scratch
Installed Proxmox v4

And did the following

wget http://download.adaptec.com/raid/storage_manager/msm_linux_x64_v2_00_21811.tgz
tar -xvf msm_linux_x64_v2_00_21811.tgz
cd manager/
dpkg -i StorMan-2.00-21811_amd64.deb
https://192.168.0.5:8443/maxview/manager/login.xhtml

(Log in with proxmox root login)

Now Im in the maxview storage manager

I will try the firmware update shortly

Can you recommend any commands to run to test write speeds. I have done a few but getting different results.
