It will only skip the failed VM and continue the job.Previously, I thought that in one backup schedule, if a VM failed to be backed up, the next VM would be cancelled. Is that correct or wrong?
No, if the backup fails because of an error limited to that VM, the other VMs will be backup up as requested. The job will however be considered as failed, in order to make notifications work as expected (e.g. email notification on failure only).Previously, I thought that in one backup schedule, if a VM failed to be backed up, the next VM would be cancelled. If you want to backup all VMs/CTs with the same job parameters then yes. If you however require e.g. different retention policies, different notifications ecc. you will have to split the job into different ones. In the end it depends on what you want to achieve. So, the best scenario is only one schedule backup for all vm?
