Hi,

What is best practice the maximum number of vm's backed up in one schedule, and the time interval between one backup and another to Proxmox Backup Server. Are there any recommendation?
This is my schedule :

Hi,
what is your motivation for not using a single schedule for all the VMs/CTs? Please elaborate what you are trying to achieve by that.

In general, there does not need to be a time interval in between backups, the PBS can even handle multiple parallel backup jobs, although you have of course limitations by network bandwidth, disk IO, memory consumption and CPU time.

Previously, I thought that in one backup schedule, if a VM failed to be backed up, the next VM would be cancelled. Is that correct or wrong?
No, if the backup fails because of an error limited to that VM, the other VMs will be backup up as requested. The job will however be considered as failed, in order to make notifications work as expected (e.g. email notification on failure only).

So, the best scenario is only one schedule backup for all vm?
If you want to backup all VMs/CTs with the same job parameters then yes. If you however require e.g. different retention policies, different notifications ecc. you will have to split the job into different ones. In the end it depends on what you want to achieve.
