Manually move VM or backup to USB?

Feb 18, 2021
So I have 2 independent proxmox nodes, not clustered. I need to consolidate my 3 VMs onto the 1 node. (I currently have 2 on 1, and 1 on the other). I plan to retire my first node.

I don't have a 3rd machine available, and not currently able to afford any kind of hardware for setting up a network share.

I either need to transfer the 2 VMs from the one node to the other, without losing data, or I need to backup to a USB drive and restore to the other machine.

Is either option feasible? I have no qualms about using the linux command line.
