Hello all
I run pve and pbs on small-factor PCs - Intel NUCs.
Lately, I often spend time away from my servers' location.
Yesterday, I saw many updates in pve. Usually, I control my desire to do updates remotely by "so-called "personal protocol" - do nothing until I am close to my servers, in case, something goes wrong. But, I broke my habit and sure enough, my pve NUC would not reboot
Nothing tragic, but I had to drive 35 miles, kicked the server (the problem was minor, it got stuck on reboot), and then drove 35 miles back.
But it gave me justification to rethink a general question - managing proxmox remotely.
I saw some pretty interesting open-source solutions of "a la" IPMI home network solutions, but really looking for this community wisdom before making any next steps.
How do you manage your PVE server remotely, please share your experiences?
TIA
